Special Edition: Eco Paints and Painting with Serene

Event description

It's plastic-free July! And to reflect on plastics and explore alternate materials, Serene is running her wonderful workshop on plastic-free, eco-friendly paint making.

Serene has taught us to draw many sea and land animals who benefit from less plastics in their habitat! This class will be a surprise creature - new to Laneway Learning!

Did you know that know that traditional acrylic paints, while bright and cheery, contain plastics that end up in our waterways? Not just their packaging, but the paints themselves. So whenever we use acrylic paints and rinse our brushes at the end, small plastic particles are going into our waterways.

In Serene's class you'll learn to make your own eco-friendly paints - how to prepare the paints from simple household ingredients. Then you'll be guided step-by step in drawing a special surprise creature who benefits from plastic free paints in their habitat!

No art experience required - just come and have a wonderful time!

Vegans note this class uses honey as one of the paint ingredients.
