Event description

Join us for a hands-on DIY Workshop where you’ll learn practical skills to tackle those small but important household repairs.

Andrew will guide you through everyday fixes such as changing a washer, repairing a hole in the wall, and other simple maintenance tasks that can save you time and money.

This is a relaxed and friendly session designed for beginners, so no prior experience is necessary. Kids welcome - under 12 with supervising adult.

Bring along your questions and any household repair challenges you’d like advice on, and Andrew will share his tips and know-how. A great opportunity to build confidence and independence with home maintenance.

Since opening in 1985, the Kingston Neighbourhood House has welcomed 1000’s of community members to our programs, services and activities. Everything we do is designed to respond to the needs of local community members. We provide support, resources and services designed to improve the health and wellbeing of all members of the community.

The Centre is proudly run by a friendly and committed team of volunteers and paid staff, and is managed by a voluntary committee made up of people who live or work in our community.

We welcome people from all walks of life to visit the Centre for support, information or referral, or to participate in the activities and events we offer. The Centre is also a place where you can get involved in community development work. There is a wealth of knowledge and experience in our community, and together we can take action to resolve local issues or address needs. Key community issues we are working on now include reducing social isolation and improving local access to affordable, healthy food.
