Youth DJ & Song Writing Workshop
Event description
Come join the electronic movement, where you can learn to write and produce an original song in 1 session! Bec Price is a Boorloo based electronic producer, DJ, vocalist and youth mentor, with a passion for accessibility and creativity in the music industry.Â
Her speciality is running workshops with communities from all different skill levels - where you don't need to play an instrument or know anything about music theory- and you can still become a songwriter and music artist! Utilizing software and devices to produce and record songs, it means you can do it anywhere, anytime, with minimal resources but a lot of creative expression.Â
Bec's notable acknowledgments of achievement include presenting at the WA Association for Mental Health [WAAMH] 2022 conference and on the Youth Panel for the Western Australia Council of Social Services [WACOSS] 2023 conference- about her work as musician and using music as a therapeutic device for self-expression and self-esteem. She also has multiple awards under her belt, including WA Best Electronic Act 2021, Electronic song of the year 2022, and was recently a finalist for the Australian Women in Music Awards 2024.
