All Saints' College is pleased to be hosting Dr Leon Furze for Djaaliny | Understanding GenAI for Parents on Monday, 9 November from 6.00pm in the Centre for Performing Arts.
Dr Leon Furze is a best-selling author and consultant with over fifteen years' experience in secondary and tertiary education. His doctoral research explored the implications of Generative Artificial Intelligence (GenAI) for teaching, learning, and writing. Leon has held leadership roles including Head of English and Director of Teaching and Learning, and now works with schools, universities, and organisations to help navigate the opportunities and challenges presented by AI. He is the author of several books for educators, including Practical AI Strategies, and is a regular presenter at education conferences and events across Australia and internationally.
In this session, Leon explores the impact of Generative Artificial Intelligence on education, learning, and wellbeing. He will examine how AI is shaping young people's lives both in and out of the classroom, highlighting the opportunities these technologies present alongside challenges related to critical thinking, academic integrity, online safety, and digital wellbeing.
