Djirra's Annual 16 Days of ACTIVEism® Walk in Canberra
Event description
Join Djirra and Sisters in Spirit for a 5km walk along Lake Burley Griffin.
Walk with us to amplify Aboriginal women's voices during the 16 Days of ACTIVEism®.
Joining the walk is a fantastic way to stand in solidarity with Djirra and with victim survivors of gender-based violence. Come along to show your support, and GET ACTIVE in your ACTIVEism®!
The Bridge to Bridge walk is a 5km loop (Commonwealth Ave Bridge to Kings Ave Bridge) in Canberra.
Bring a water bottle and your workmates, friends, family and your dog! T-shirts will be provided, and there'll be free coffee to kickstart your walk.
Meet at the Griff Coffee Truck near the Carillon at 6.30am for a 7.00am start.
This annual walk, organised by Djirra, is taking place during the UN's global 16 Days of Activism campaign to end gender-based violence. This year, we're excited to be partnering with local Aboriginal organisation Sisters in Spirit.
