This event is Australasia’s only nutrition-led lifestyle medicine conference focused on addressing the root causes of disease. Doctors For Nutrition is an independent, health-promotion charity led by medical and dietetic professionals, and our conference has been designed as a unique platform to explore evidence-based lifestyle strategies transforming health outcomes.
The program features the latest advancements alongside time-honoured research on the six pillars of lifestyle medicine. These pillars collectively form a powerful framework for preventing and managing chronic diseases, addressing some of the most pressing healthcare challenges of our time.

- Will the event be catered?
Catering is of the utmost importance to Doctors For Nutrition, therefore the meals and snacks available at the conference will echo our ethos (which you can read more about here). We have worked closely with the venue’s catering team to create a menu that reflects whole food plant-based nourishment.

- Will dietary requirements be catered for?
Yes. Please notify us of your specific dietary requirements and allergies at the time of purchasing your conference ticket. Please note that our conference focuses on whole food plant-based nutrition. The educational content, menu design and resources are all aligned with the best available evidence on predominantly plant-based eating patterns for long-term health and chronic disease prevention. Attendees who usually follow dietary patterns outside of this way of eating will not be specifically catered for in the program, but are very welcome to join us.
- What drinks will be provided?
Coffee and tea will be provided during the breaks. Water fountains are located within the building so bring a reusable drink bottle. This is an alcohol-free event.
- Are there CPD hours available for delegates?
The Doctors For Nutrition Lifestyle Medicine Conference will be approved for CPD hours (Educational Activities) with the Royal Australian College of GPs and the Australian College of Rural and Remote Medicine. Members who attend the full program, and provide their member numbers, will be automatically awarded CPD hours. If you are a health professional associated with a different professional body, you may be able to self-claim CPD hours or points subject to the rules of your professional body. Exact hours to be determined closer to the event.
This event is IBLM-approved for CME for the Lifestyle Medicine Maintenance of Certification (MOC) for all current and newly certified IBLM Lifestyle Medicine Practitioners.
- Will there be an opportunity to ask questions of the presenters?
Yes, however due to a tight schedule it may be difficult to answer all questions. Most sessions will have a Q&A component. Those attending may be able to talk with speakers in the breaks and at the networking session.
- Are you filming the conference?
Yes, we will be filming the conference academic sessions. These will be available to purchase after the conference at a discounted price for delegates and members. Members who attend the conference will have access to the recordings for free.
- Will you be taking video and photos at the conference?
By registering for an event organised by Doctors For Nutrition (DFN), you agree that DFN may use any photographs and videos taken at the event. They may use them in publications or other media materials, including but not limited to social media, brochures, websites, and promotion of future events.
If you do not consent to have your image recorded for distribution, please inform event organisers at least seven business days before the event at events@doctorsfornutrition.org.
Any person or organisation using DFN’s photographs, graphics, videography, or other similar reproductions or recordings for commercial use requires advance written permission from DFN.
- What is the dress code for the conference?
Business casual is recommended. It is spring in Sydney in November, where the average maximum temperature is around 25℃ (77℉), The conference venue is fully air conditioned, so we would recommend layers to ensure you are comfortable inside as well as out. - Are there discounts available?
Pre-early bird discounts are available up to 31st March, 2026. Early bird discounts are available for tickets purchased prior to 3 July 2026. There are also discounted tickets for students and concession card holders.
- Are there student scholarships available?
Doctors For Nutrition will support up to five medical students to attend the DFN LM26 by providing a complimentary delegate pass. Contact us for more information.
- Can my spouse or significant other attend?
Everyone is welcome! All delegates for the conference must register separately.
- Will this be a hybrid event?
No. However the conference will be recorded. These recordings will be available to purchase after the conference at a discounted price for delegates and members. Members who attend the conference will have access to the recordings for free.
- What’s your refund policy?
Please choose carefully when purchasing tickets. We do not offer refunds for change of mind, scheduling conflicts, or personal circumstances.
Refunds will only be provided as required by Australian Consumer Law. You may be entitled to a refund or exchange if the event is cancelled, significantly rescheduled, or materially changed in a way that substantially alters the nature of the event you purchased tickets for.
If the event is postponed, your tickets will generally remain valid for the rescheduled date. If you are unable to attend the new date, you may request a refund in accordance with Australian Consumer Law.

Doctors For Nutrition and the conference organising team aim for DFN LM26 to be a sustainable event and are carefully considering eco-friendly options for the conference where possible. Some steps we are taking include:
Using public transport for transit travel, where possible
Reducing the amount of paper used for conference information
Minimising the use of AI in planning the event
Using local suppliers
Using recycled materials where applicable
Using compostable crockery and cutlery for catering, where possible
Creating digital signage in place of printed collateral
Reusing signage for future events
Encouraging delegates to bring refillable water bottles and coffee cups
