We like to think kink spaces are already safe because we have rules. Safewords. Negotiation forms. Checklists.

But rape culture doesn't disappear just because everyone signed a waiver.

This class is a field guide, not a lecture. We're mapping the terrain of what rape culture actually looks like inside kink communities, the coercion disguised as persistence, the silence read as yes, the entitlement to touch, the jokes that quietly erase boundaries, and then we build, practically, what consent culture requires instead.

We'll look at how privilege shapes this terrain too: whose no gets heard, whose yes gets assumed, who gets believed after harm. Consent isn't just personal, it's structural.

From there we'll walk through five pillars, capacity, autonomy, information, agency, and boundaries, as a working framework you can actually take home and use. Not just to protect yourself, but to build the kind of community presence that makes consent culture real instead of aspirational.

You'll leave with language, not just theory. Scripts for checking in. Ways to call in a friend instead of calling them out. A take-home field guide you can return to.

This is entry-level, no experience required, but it holds enough depth for seasoned practitioners too. Survivors are welcome; content is handled with care, and stepping back or sitting out any part of the discussion is always okay.
