Inspired by Dog Years Group Exhibition (June 6-July 4, Ellenbrook Arts Gallery).


Join us for a paws-itively fun series of dog-themed creative workshops for young people, designed to support emotional wellbeing and self-expression through art.

Led by local creative counsellor and art therapist Amanda, these eco-friendly workshops are part of the Creativity and Wellbeing for Young People project. Each session combines fun, creativity, and connection to the natural world—while celebrating our furry friends.

Location: Ellenbrook Central

Time: 3-5pm

Tues 3rd – Puppy Pots
Decorate your own puppy-faced planter pot to take home

Tues 10th – Scribble Dogs in Frames
Create an amazing dog artwork from a simple scribble – and frame it!

Tues 17th – Dog Collage & Slinky Dogs
Craft a doggie collage card, picture, or make your very own slinky dog!

Fri 20th – Fabric Dog Portraits
Use colourful fabric scraps to make a textured, shaggy dog portrait – an eco-friendly masterpiece!

Tues 24th – Dog Story Books
Write and paint your very own watercolour storybook about your dog and its adventures

Fri 27th – Dogigami & Colouring
A relaxing, open afternoon of dog origami, colouring sheets, and pawprint keepsakes.

All artworks created will be part of the Youth Exhibition (October 3-12), culminating in a collaborative Dogs of Ellenbrook sculpture, celebrating the dogs in our neighbourhood.
