Event description

Join us for a weekend of hand making in the gardens of the beautiful Junee Licorice and Chocolate factory. We are offering workshops in Pottery and Woodworking with a focus on making with minimal tools and developing the hand/eye connection.

Spoon Carving Workshop: This workshop is a perfect introduction to woodworking - the simple act of carving a spoon opens up a world of potential for creativity and exploration. We will spend time learning about timber as a material, looking at tools from different cultures and places, and developing the basic skills needed to carve your own spoons. Led by furniture maker and woodworker Ted O'Donnell.

Clay Hand Building: This workshop is a playful experience where you will learn the fundamentals for making coil and pinch pots. We will be making a small dish to start and then breaking free to be more creative in this 2.5 hr class. At the conclusion of the workshop, your small bowl will be fired by Ryan and returned to the Licorice Factory ready for collection within 4 - 6 weeks. Led by Love Ryan Ceramics.

In both woodworking and ceramics there will be a Saturday session running from 11am to 1:30pm, and a Sunday afternoon session running from 11am to 1:30pm. Select your session when you purchase your tickets.
