Event description

Our friend Nav, winemaker at Domaine Simha will be visiting from Tasmania and will spend his Wednesday evening in Melbourne at Cardwell Cellars, pouring his pristine wines for our guests.

No tickets required, all wines by the glass will be Domaine Simha, with some special back vintages open alongside new releases.

Domaine Simha was founded at the edge of the world on the island of Tasmania (Lutruwita) by Nav Singh and Louise Radman.

An avant-garde approach shapes living wine founded on knowledge informed by intuition. Only a few barrels of each Domaine Simha wine are made in a season. At heart lies Tasmania’s pristine natural environment, sparkling air and ancient soil.

Domaine Simha wines are crafted by hand in micro batches. Hunting out magical vineyards in the upper Derwent, Coal River and Huon Valleys, Domaine Simha partners with expert growers. Single vineyard wines are shaped au naturel to harness the provenance of epic Tasmanian terroir and season. Harvesting is done by hand according to the lunar cycle on fruit and flower days. Lo-fi techniques like whole bunch wild fermentation, foot stomping and gentle pigeage give wines of beautiful light, shade and perfume with seamless tannin structure. Harnessing the natural properties of clay amphorae, ceramic eggs and large custom demi-muid oak barrels allows the fruit to shine. Wines are basket pressed, bottled unfined and unfiltered with perfect natural balance, powerful foundations and cellar worthy longevity.
