Event description

This session is designed to provide Neighbourhood House staff with the foundational knowledge to recognise the signs of domestic and family violence and respond safely and appropriately to disclosures. The session is suitable for those with no or limited training in this area, or those who wish to refresh pre-existing skills and knowledge.Ā

The session focuses on understanding what domestic and family violence is, the vital role Neighbourhood Houses play in supporting adult victim-survivors, and how to effectively engage with families and individuals affected by domestic and family violence.Ā

The session is grounded in the MARAM framework, which is Victoriaā€™s leading framework for identifying, assessing, and managing domestic and family violence risk.

Please note: Due to the sensitive nature of this topic, the session will NOT be recorded.

Attendees will receive an email containing the Zoom link 24 hours before the event starts.

We are looking forward to seeing you on Zoom!
