Don't Burn Out! Community Session
Event description
Welcome to Don’t Burn Out — a webinar on burnout management and prevention, designed especially for Autistic, AuDHD, chronically ill, and disabled community members. If you work in an allied health, medical / healthcare, peer worker, or support worker role the "Don't Burn Out! Practitioner Session" will be the best fit for you.
What will we cover?
This webinar is specifically geared toward Autistic, AuDHD, chronically ill, and disabled folk. It's designed to help you understand what’s happening, reflect on your own capacity, signs, and needs, and explore practical, compassionate strategies to support yourself.
We go beyond the basics, and explore things from a nuanced, neuro-affirming, anti-ableist, person-centred framework. Resources will also be provided to all attendees post-webinar.
Key topics will include:
Understanding why we burn out
Identifying our needs
Working with our brains and bodies (not against them)
Creating sustainable structures, systems, and supports
Protecting capacity and preserving your energy
Burnout management, response, and recovery
Self-check-in strategies
Setting boundaries, navigating guilt, and saying "no"
Practical strategies and resources
Please note, this webinar is not a group therapy or psychology session; if you are seeking therapy / support, I recommend that you connect with a practitioner for ongoing care.
