Don't Burn Out! Practitioner Session
Event description
Welcome to Don’t Burn Out — a webinar on burnout management and prevention, designed especially for Autistic, AuDHD, chronically ill, and disabled practitioners.
What will we cover?
This webinar is specifically geared toward Autistic, AuDHD, chronically ill, and disabled practitioners working in allied health, medical / healthcare, peer worker, and support worker roles. It's for anyone wanting to protect against burnout, and work in ways that are meaningful, fulfilling, accessible, and sustainable.
We'll go beyond the basics, and explore things from a nuanced, neuro-affirming, anti-ableist, person-centred framework. Resources will also be provided to all attendees post-webinar!
Key topics will include:
Understanding why we burn out (from a multifaceted, individualised lens)
Identifying our needs
Working with our brains and bodies (not against them)
Creating sustainable set-ups, structures, systems, and supports
Protecting capacity and preserving spoons
Burnout response, management, and recovery
Reflective practices and self-check-in strategies
Unlearning neuronormative and ableist pressures
Practical tools, plans, and resources
What will I take away from it?
By the end of this webinar, you’ll have:
Clarity on why burnout happens differently for us, and what characterises it for you
Strategies to work in ways that recognise and support your needs
Consent form wording, client communication scripts, and other resources to support boundaries / balance
Tools for pacing, burnout management, emergency planning, and capacity tracking
Greater confidence in your wants, needs, and decisions
Reflection prompts to reconnect with what’s meaningful for you
And more!
There will also be an optional follow-up group supervision session, held on 29/08/2025 at 10am-11:30am AEST, for folks who would like to further discuss what we cover in the webinar. This can be signed up for separately via this link. Please note that spots are limited, and session cost listed includes GST.
