Donate to Not-For-Profit Northern Beaches Youth Theatre
Event description
The Northern Beaches Youth Theatre was reignited in 2021 as a proactive response to the youth mental health crisis on the Northern Beaches. Re-founders, Victoria Lockhart and Chantal Harrison are local creatives with a heart for youth and youth concerns and who know, first-hand, the healing powers of the creative arts.
They have since produced "Hating Alison Ashley", "School Of Sharks", "Christmas Carol High School", "Anne of Green Gables", a youth-devised "Christmas Spectacular", "April Aardvark", "Puffs: OR Seven Increasingly Eventful Years At A Certain School Of Magic", “Dags”, “30 Reasons NOT To Be In A Play”, “Romeo & Juliet”, and “Charlotte’s Web” coming in November (bit.ly/NBYTCharlottesWeb). They are also hosting the NBYT Young Adult Short Play Festival in January.
Their message has been received and responded to by the community and they are thrilled to see a wonderfully eclectic mix of youth come through their doors, as well as the beautiful community feedback that validates this nourishing work.
BUT as a charity not-for-profit theatre, they do need the help of the public. They need corporate sponsorships, raffle prizes, volunteers and donations of costume/props/etc. So please contact infonbyt@gmail.com if you can help with that.
In the meantime, donate what you can to this pre-show fundraiser and please spread the word!
