    Event description

Salty Theatre has big plans underway in the coming year and through 2023! As we continue to develop new works and nurture both new and seasoned artists and their careers and launch the Australian Premiere of the 7 times award-winning Stranger Sings! The Parody Musical in November 2022 at Melbourne's Meat Market, we also mark the beginning of new musical theatre training and development opportunities for performers and creatives.

Your donations contribute not only to our productions, training programs and workshops, but to the future careers of young artists, their practice and the sustainability of creatives within the theatre industry.

As a new, independent theatre company, Salty Theatre depends on donations and sponsorship from businesses, philanthropists, individuals and lovers of the arts — just like you.

Our work as a company contributes to the Australian arts scene by providing more professional work opportunities, new partnerships and collaborations both locally and internationally and investment into the Australian catalogue of musical productions. It also supports the development of new skills for artists, challenges traditional musical theatre representation and contributes to the sustainability of a career in the arts.

In time, we hope to be in the fortunate position to be able to offer musical theatre training for up-and-coming performers and combine this with our Hatch Lab new works development programs as well as our annual productions. This rare trifecta creates one-of-a-kind opportunities for performers who want to safely explore a career in the theatre while still in an educational setting.

But it’s only with support from our wider community - our Salty family - that we can continue to offer programs that encourage the development of new artists and live theatrical experiences and make these bold and exciting ideas a reality.

If you have any questions or want to find out more, don’t hesitate to contact us – we understand the importance of trust, transparency and conversation. We’d be thrilled to connect so we can get to know each other better.

Thank you for your support. We wouldn't be here if it weren't for kind-hearted, generous people like you.

    With love and gratitude,

    Ashley x
