Donations to the Australian Stockbrokers Foundation

The ASF has donated over $9m to a range of charities. The funds come from the annual ASF Awards Dinner and the Bulls & Bears Golf Day. 

We support 10 - 12 charities with a leaning towards disadvantaged kids' causes. We are also the largest donor to the Matthew Talbot Hostel since our inception, having provided over $3 million to the upkeep of the Woolloomooloo facility for the homeless men of Sydney. More recently we have taken on supporting two women's' refuges. We meet with the charities every year at a lunch generously hosted by Morgan Stanley, allowing us to hear about the challenges we may occasionally read about but they face every day. It is both an enlightening and humbling event.

Both Directors of the trustee company and members of the organising committees are employed in the financial services industry and volunteer their time to assist with our fund raising efforts. The ASF employs no people and rents no premises, so more than 95% of funds raised after event costs flows to our charities.
