Doorknock Preston | No Room for Racism
Description
For too long, First Nations and migrant communities have been used as political footballs, with fear, racism and division weaponised to win headlines and votes. This election, we're taking a different message straight to our neighbours' front doors.
Join No Room for Racism for a community doorknock as we talk with local voters about the kind of Victoria we want: one that rejects divisive politics, defends First Nations rights and multicultural communities, and holds candidates accountable when they choose scapegoating over leadership.
Doorknocking is one of the most powerful things we can do in an election. A real conversation on the doorstep cuts through the noise in a way no ad or headline can. Every door we knock on is a chance to remind people that Victoria's diversity is one of our greatest strengths, and that we deserve politics grounded in justice, respect and solidarity.
No experience? No problem. We'll start with a friendly briefing and training session, pair you up with experienced doorknockers, and give you everything you need to feel confident. Whether you've doorknocked a hundred times or never before, there's a place for you.
What to bring: Comfortable walking shoes, a water bottle, weather-appropriate clothing, and a charged phone.
Accessibility: Let us know your access needs when you RSVP, we can create shorter routes and everyone will be doorknocking in a pair.
