Logan Day of Visibility - Renew Australia For All
Event description
Join us to paint the streets of Logan with flyers and yard signs!
Be a part of shifting the politics to cut our bills for good and create thousands of well-paid, secure jobs in renewable energy by taking action in Logan. This is a great chance to have a real impact in one of the places that are being hardest hit by cost of living pressures - and in the heart of the Federal Treasurer’s electorate.
Over the past few months, Alliance leaders have been out in communities, having thousands of conversations with people in Logan about addressing the cost of living with renewable energy. There have been coffee circles, soccer tournaments, market stalls, morning teas after church services and dozens of other community events. Now, it's time to paint the streets and mailboxes of Logan with yard signs and flyers. This will remind people of the conversations they've already been having and give them easier access to additional information if they need it.
We know that people need to see or hear a message a few times before it sticks. We also know that people are more likely to support or act on an idea if they can see other people doing the same.
So this Saturday 26 April, we're going to get together to make the Renew Australia for All message visible in Logan - to make the community support that already exists is visible for all to see!
Keen to join us? Your day will look something like this:
- 10am - Meet each other and receive a short training
- 10:20am - Pair up and distribute signs and flyers
- 12 noon - head back to the park for a BBQ and debrief
- 12:30pm - wrap up and head home.
