Doorknocking in Logan
Event description
Join us for Loganβs Biggest Doorknock!Β
Be a part of shifting the politics to cut our bills for good and create thousands of well-paid, secure jobs in renewable energy by connecting with the community in Logan. This is a great chance to have a real impact in one of the places that are being hardest hit by cost of living pressures - and in the heart of the Federal Treasurerβs electorate.
Doorknocking is one of the most effective ways to connect with people and demonstrate visible support for an issue in a local area.Β
Thatβs why on Saturday 26 April, more than 100 people will get together to meet their neighbours and have conversations about the cost of living and access to renewables for every household.
In our conversations we will be connecting with people, asking what matters most to them, and putting up signs (like the ones above)Β in peopleβs yards if theyβd like to support action on the cost of living or renewables. We will be targeting the main streets -Β so that people see us out and about on the day, and so the signs we put up over the weekend are super visible!Β
Keen to join us? Your day will look something like this:Β
- 10am - Meet other door knockers and receive a short trainingΒ
- 10:30am - Pair up and head out to knock on some doors. Each pair will have someone who has been door knocking before, and someone who is newer. Youβll also have a map and list of houses to visit!
- 12 noon - head back to the park for a BBQ and debriefΒ
- 12:30pm - wrap up and head home.Β
