    THE BOOKS

Dragonfly Publishing is thrilled to build on the success of its 2023 middle-grade novel Tumblagooda: The story of a strange lost thing with the upcoming release of the second instalment, Tumblagooda: The story of a strange missing thing. Written by Suzanne Ingelbrecht and illustrated by Michael Inouye, this new adventure promises to take young readers aged eight and above on an adventure filled with secrets, new places to explore, and unexpected challenges!

Just in time for this year’s Halloween season, Dragonfly Publishing is excited to release award-winning Perth author, Fionna Cosgrove's newest middle-grade horror novel, Sadie and the Secret of the Swamp. Aimed at children aged eight to eleven, the Book is packed with twists, turns, and plenty of gross surprises that will keep young readers up all night and eagerly turning pages.

    THE AUTHORS

Suzanne Ingelbrecht is an award-winning Western Australian playwright. Her published plays have been performed in Australia and New Zealand and she has delighted in leading community playwriting and script development processes, including with young autistic adults. Her first children's novel, Tumblagooda: The story of a strange lost thing, was published in July 2023, and the third and final instalment is due for release in 2026.

Fionna Cosgrove is a spooky children’s author, psychic connoisseur, and bigfoot advocate. Born and raised in Perth, she has had her short stories published in the NSW School Magazine and multiple anthologies and won several writing competitions, including AWC’s Furious Fiction and the KSP Spooky Story Competition. She has also self-published a middle-grade series of spooky interactive novels, The Twisted Trails. When Fionna is not sitting in front of the computer screen trudging through painstaking first drafts, you can usually find her listening to podcasts, baking cakes, following that black line in the pool, or with her head in an array of books.

    THE EVENT

Both books will be launched by popular children's author Ash Harrier. The event includes complimentary refreshments and book sales and signings.
