Downtown St. Pete Toastmasters Open House & Costume Contest

Do you have a fear of public speaking? If you do, you're not alone! Public speaking is often cited as the #1 biggest fear around the world, above death!

We at Downtown St. Pete Toastmasters have faced our fear of public speaking and are here to support you in facing yours. This open house is a great way to get to know our club members and have a lot of fun while you do it.

What you can expect:

• Food! Various spooky snacks will be available

• Table Topics! These are fun 1-2 minute answers to questions to help you get used to impromptu speaking, and a great way to get to know club members as they tell short personal stories

• Speaker Showcase! We'll have a speaker or two talk about their time in the club and how much it has helped them in their personal and professional lives

• Costume Contest! Guests are more than welcome to join in on the fun and come in costume! Arriving in costume will automatically enroll you into our costume contest. We'll all vote and announce a winner at the end of the night, who will receive a prize!
