DPS Dads & Kids Camp Out including games, Movie, Dinner and Breakfast
Event description
Timings:
- From 3.30pm till 10am the following day. All proceeds after costs go to the Dalkeith Primary School P&C.
All of the below are included:
- Dinner: when buying tickets choose between EITHER:
1). BBQ option: slow cooked, smoked pork with delicious sauce in rolls or steak (cooked if and as requested), sausages and hotdogs, all with salad; OR
2). Pizza option: a family size pizza from Pizza on Broadway. When booking your ticket you will be asked your choice of Pizza from Vegetarian, Margarita, Meat Lovers, Hawaiian and Ham and Cheese or any others on the Broadway Pizza menu.
- Breakfast (bacon and egg rolls) or vegetarian sausage in a roll with orange and apple juice;
- games and kids activities from 5-6pm, dinner at 6pm and a kid friendly movie around 7pm;
- Toilets and wash basins (but no showers or power). Please bring a tent;
- A cooking fire to roast marshmallows, cook other food and sit around; and,
- An opportunity for DPS kids to spend time with their dads/guardians within school grounds and have some fun!
We have introduced a new cheaper option this year for anyone who wants to come for the evening including games, dinner and movie. And then go home at 9.30pm and NOT camp and NOT have breakfast!

BYO drink or a lager and a pale ale style beer will be on ice and on sale. Coffee will be available to buy in the morning.
Please note the tent area on the oval will be a quiet area after 9.30pm. Children to be in tents by 9.30pm and Dads by c.11pm.
Open to children currently attending Dalkeith Primary School. Children can only attend with their parent or adult guardian.
Please consider carefully if this event is suitable for your child considering their age and prior camping experience. By registering for attendance, it is acknowledged by the parents and / or guardian that the duty of care for each child rests with the accompanying adult and you accept the above.
What to bring: small tent (ideally no larger than 4 person), sleeping gear (pillow, sleeping bag or sheet), comfortable chair or bean bag for sitting round the fire or watching movie, torches and batteries, water bottles and BYO drinks, toothbrush and toothpaste, medications if any, card or cash for beer on sale or coffee in morning. Â
What NOT to bring:Â iPads or phones for kids.
