    Event description

Mental health in adolescents and adults with Down syndrome, including the impact of COVID.

    Who is it for?

A webinar for families and carers of someone with Down syndrome providing a set of actions that caregivers can take that might improve the long-term wellness of their loved one with Down syndrome.

    What to expect:

Well known to many of our members and avidly followed for his groundbreaking work, Dr Chicoine has provided medical care to individuals with Down syndrome for over 30 years. He graduated from Loyola University of Chicago Stritch School of Medicine and completed his Family Medicine residency at Lutheran General Hospital. That is where he first started treating patients with Down syndrome, which would later play a pivotal role in his career. Dr. Chicoine is co-founder of the Adult Down Syndrome Center in Park Ridge, Illinois, and he is also an award-winning author who co-authored two books on mental and physical health for adolescents and adults with Down syndrome.

Dr Brian Chicoine's presentation will be recorded and available for purchase. You will also have the opportunity to pre-submit questions if you are unable to join us for the live online event.
