Dr Carl Hendrick is a leading voice in education, working at Academica University of Applied Sciences where he focuses on bridging the gap between research and classroom practice. A former secondary English teacher with 18 years of experience across diverse school settings, he earned his PhD in education from King’s College London.

He is the co-author, alongside Paul Kirschner, of the acclaimed books How Teaching Happens and How Learning Happens. These influential works explore the science of effective teaching and how insights from research can be meaningfully applied in schools.
