Event description

Join us for a special mid-week presentation by visiting UK scholar Dr Lindsay Simmonds

Not In God’s Name: Confronting Religious Violence – Why are religion and violence so intertwined and (how) can they be disentangled?

Dr Simmonds is a Research Fellow at the London School of Jewish Studies, where she has lectured, written and convened courses for over 20 years, focussing on women in Biblical narrative, the Talmud and Jewish Law.

In addition to her academic research and lecturing, Lindsay speaks regularly on peaceful shared society, interfaith relations and conflict negotiation. In that capacity, she is Vice-Chair of Trustees for the Abraham Initiatives UK, and Jewish Scholar-in-Residence for the CCJ UK.
