Dr Stephanie Dowrick: Sustaining Hope when War is Normalised

Join Medical Association for Prevention of War ACT for our annual fundraising dinner. 

Our special guest speaker is Dr Stephanie Dowrick. Dr Dowrick is a psychotherapist, ordained Interfaith minister, award-winning writer, and activist for peace and social justice. She has published more than 20 books and written widely for media in Australia.

Dr Dowrick will speak in defiance of the view that war is justifiable, and show how vigorous and intelligent mutual encouragement regenerates a vital ingredient for peace: hope.

All proceeds support the Medical Association for Prevention of War (MAPW) Australia. MAPW is a national network of health professionals working to promote peace and prevent the harms of war and militarism.
