Dragon Awakening: Full Moon Dragon Transmission & Movement
Description
Out of the cave
Some things don't shift by thinking about them. A body that's been braced for years. A loop the mind keeps running. A relationship, a path or a calling that's been waiting for you to move.
The Dragon is the medicine of rapid change. In the Daoist tradition it belongs to Thunder: the first live line of yang stirring beneath a quiet surface, the seed splitting in the dark. Under a Full Moon, two lineages meet to bring it through: the Dragon of the internal martial arts, through the body, and the Dragon of the multi-dimensional field, through transmission.
Stuck between the rocks
In Steven's Baguazhang lineage, the Dragon Form tells a story: big free-flowing movement, then the whole form compresses as the Dragon is wedged between the rocks of its cave, then wild whole-body shaking and a breakout into something bigger than before. The body learns that change is possible, and that it feels good when it happens.
How the evening flows
- Awaken (Steven): a short teaching, then Dragon breath and movement to open the body and set your intention.
- Transmission (Ama): a multi-dimensional Dragon transmission. Keep moving gently, or rest and receive.
- The Dragon Form (Steven): a demonstration of the full form, and the dragon swords.
- Grounding (Ama): a long, gentle landing back into the body and the Earth.
