How to Draw Your Dog with Sara Phemister
Event description
Animals are our constant companions. They elevate us and enrich our lives deeply. For some of us, they become our familiars, our family, our best friends. They are also lovely to draw!
So come and draw your best friend with the brilliant artist, Sara Phemister.
Sara will be conducting a two-hour drawing workshop at Tyger on Sunday 13 October from 1-3pm. Registrations are essential and places are limited.
Bring along a photograph of your pet, or any animal you love, and Sara will help you use a variety of mediums to explore immortalising them.
This session will include a cameo by a very special ‘life model’.
All materials and refreshments will be provided.
It will be a really fun workshop - make sure you secure your spot to join us.

Sara Phemister is a painter living and working on Ngunnawal Country.
Sara has exhibited extensively over the last 28 years, predominately in the Canberra, Southern Tablelands and South Coast areas. Her recent show at Tyger Gallery - At Home With - was a huge hit with gallery visitors.
"I am endlessly inspired by capturing and illuminating daily life. My dog asleep in the morning sun, my now adult children absorbed in a task, and the shifting landscape around me. It is a collection of these moments that I want to remember."
"Drawing is the basis for my practice. I paint in oil onto board and am increasingly interested in how the application of paint suggests line and form and becomes a language to tell our stories."
