“Draw Your Own Map” – An Art Workshop Inspired by Our Map

Join Novia Heroanto at Berkelouw Books Hornsby for a storytime and art workship inspired by Our Map!

This is a creative, story-led drawing session intended for children 6-8 years, where kids will create their own illustrated maps inspired by the themes of friendship and exploration in Our Map. We’ll start with a short book reading and discussion, then move into a guided art activity where each child designs their own “special place” map, real or imagined. Novia will be around after the workshop to chat with kids & parents, as well as to sign personalised copies of Our Map.

Workshop Format:

5–10 min: Welcome, intro, and story reading

35–40 min: Drawing activity with gentle guidance and prompts

10 min: Sharing their work and optional mini-gallery

Wrap-up: Q&A and signing session with Novia 

RSVPs are essential, and all materials will be provided.
