Draw Your (S)words is back baby!!!

We know you've been patiently waiting..

DYS takes the festival season off in Kaurna Yarta for a much needed break and we know you are all busy getting around and supporting other amazing events..

But the wait is soon coming to an end, the DYS team are returning to one of the most beautiful accessible venues in the CBD- The Queen's Theatre.

What better way to start the run of shows this year than by hosting our incredible features Naomi Keyte and Nadia Patterson, who were both scheduled to wrap our year last Nov (sadly cancelled due to stormy weather).

We’re thrilled to welcome the electrifying musician Naomi Keyte (she/her) and the soul-stirring Nadia Patterson (they/he) to our mic. Their words will move you, inspire you, and leave you basking in the glow of their creativity.

🎤 Open Mic

Have you’ve got something to share? There are only 10 open mic spots up for grabs—be quick because they’ll go fast! This is your chance to tell your story, in a safe, welcoming space. Remember to sign up quickly- open mic spots are limited. 2 spots are always reserved for first in on the door.

🌙 The Vibe

This isn’t any poetry night—it’s a gathering of DYS fam, sharing stories, laughter, and connection.. We're not being biased- ask a regular for a review, you wont be disappointed.
