Drawing Mandalas

This mindful and wonderfully relaxing class will show you step by step how to create your own beautiful hand-drawn mandala.

During the workshop you'll explore the theory and practice of mandala drawing, focusing on the meditative and relaxing aspects of creating your artwork.

No prior experience of drawing is necessary and as you start to create, we'll guide you to gain more and more confidence in your techniques.

You'll begin by learning how to draw your own A4 grid template and will then be given practice sheets to try different shapes and designs on before starting to create your own unique masterpiece.

If time allows, colour could be added to your design with watercolours or fine liners. Some basic colour theory will also be covered in the class.

All materials and tools will be provided, together with refreshments.

Local artist Sophie Boyce has a BA in Graphic design & Illustration from Central Saint Martins and an MA in Printmaking from UAL. Sophie is a practicing artist and teacher.

Please note that the class will be held upstairs at The Railway and there is unfortunately no lift access.
