Creating NDIS Goals that could lead to a more Meaningful & Valued Life
Event description
Creating NDIS Goals that could lead to a Meaningful & Valued Life
Using 'Role Goals' to make the most effective use of your means, aquire valued roles, develop a positive image and competency, and new unpaid relationships
For Individuals & Families with kids 0-18 that:
- Have a sense of a more ideal future, but perhaps not sure how to bring it to life/keep afloat on the journey.
- Have already started some small ‘roles focused’ work even if they don’t know it.
- Are willing to learn, take action, and use resources to bring about more relationships/roles/opportunities.
- Have an unpaid social network of any size (big or small) that is willing to work together towards a great life for their child now and in the future.
- Don’t want their child to be segregated from others or congregated by their diagnosis in any environment (school, work, home, recreation/leisure, etc).
- Want their child to experience the goodness of everyday life and use their NDIS funding effectively as one means to bring this about.
Please note: Event is not open to paid workers/staff unless they also are part of one of the above groups (eg. Family member who happens to work in a disability related job). We do this because we want to create a safe, open space for individuals and families to learn, connect and create.
Objectives
- Put thoughts down on paper about what a 'Good Life' might look like for their child.
- To turn their personal and NDIS Goals into 'Role Goals' and objectives that can be used for NDIS Planning meetings and working towards goals.
