Drive in Movie

Join us at the Takapō Regional Park in Lake Tekapo for a drive-in movie screening! Entry to the screening area will open at 4.30pm with the screening starting at 5.30pm.  

Vehicle entry is through the Tewera Carpark on Lilybank Road. Cyclists and pedestrians can enter the event space via lake front track from Tekapo Village. Our screen will be elevated to allow for good viewing, however if you arrive in a campervan, large SUV or vehicle with a rooftop box that could obscure others, you will be placed at the rear of the venue.

There will be range of food available on site and reserved space (and speakers) up the front for those wanting to watch the movie on a picnic rug or camp chairs. This is a smoke free and alcohol-free event, and we thank you in advance for respecting that. We love our four-legged friends, but they will need to stay at home on this occasion. Pets are not permitted in your vehicle for the screening.

In the event of rain our event will still go ahead. You will need to turn your wipers on and remember to turn your car on periodically to preserve your battery.
