Event Description:

The Dromana Association warmly invites members and the broader community to our Annual General Meeting (AGM), followed by our regular monthly General Meeting.

This is your opportunity to:

• Hear about our activities over the past year.

• Learn about upcoming initiatives and community priorities.

• Connect with others who care about Dromana’s future.

• Consider nominating for the Executive Committee (members only)

• Step into a Working Group Leadership role (members only)

Working Group Leaders:

• Strategic Planning – Dromana Community Hub, Wonga Arthurs Seat Adventure Park (Community Carbon Forest), Dromana Town Plan, Sports Precinct

• Wonga/Arthurs Seat Escarpment – Roundtable meetings toward a collaborative management plan, walks and storytelling

• Communications – Public Comms + Dromana Digital Hub

• Community & Business Forums & Advocacy

• Partnerships, Sponsorships, Membership, Fundraising & Grant Writing

💡 Members with skills in facilitation, communications, marketing, event promotion, fundraising, sponsorship, or organisational leadership are especially encouraged to nominate.

Attendance is open to all, but please note that only financial members may vote at the AGM. Please bring a plate of food to share with others.

The Dromana Association has had a busy year advocating for the community around Greater Dromana.

• Over a decade of perseverance leading the campaign for a replacement Dromana Pier has paid off with a contract awarded and demolition/construction beginning next month.

• We have worked to bring stakeholders together around a proposed community hub at Pier Street Reserve.

• We have continued to advocate to the Shire to develop the Parkdale Estate ‘Pat’s Paddock’ into a multi-user nature-based recreational asset, taking an innovative community-led approach.

• We are running a series of round table events to develop a better way of managing the amazing Arthurs Seat Wonga Escarpment.

• We submitted a preliminary view of the proposed Eagle upgrade and expansion; the final planning application is due to be released for comment shortly.

• We continue to seek ways of bringing the community and businesses together to improve what is a fantastic place to live, work and visit.
