Drop In and Draw for Preschoolers

Calling all preschoolers who love to draw!  We need your help to illustrate the alphabet and draw a picture for our A-Z Adventure poster - an interactive, keepsake alphabet poster created as a joint project between the Adelaide Hills Library Service, Mount Lofty Kindergym, the Hills Community Toy Library and Words Grow Minds.  Your artwork may be selected to represent a letter on our A-Z Adventure poster and all artworks will be exhibited at our launch party and exhibition planned for April 2025.  

More about the A-Z Adventure Project

We invite children to illustrate an alphabet naming things in the world around them. Choose one or several letters, any drawing tools or media you like, and get creative!

If your child wishes to, submit them to a competition and 26 entries will be selected to represent the alphabet published in a poster format.  All entries will be exhibited in April 2025.

We will collect physical artworks up to the 15th of March of 2025 at drop off points at the Stirling Library, Mt Lofty Kindergym and Hills Community Toy Library.

Children’s art works will likely not be returned to them at the conclusion of this project, so please be aware of this.

All groups who participate will be invited to our launch party and exhibition of all artwork, which is planned for April 2025. This will be a great opportunity to celebrate the children, have a party and connect with your community.
