    Event description

DR + SURVIVORS: Breast, Bowel and Cervical Cancer Awareness for Asian Communities

People from Asian backgrounds with cancer often have poorer cancer journeys and outcomes than other people in Australia. There are a lot of reasons for this, but many relate to cancer being found late. We know this because cancer screening data shows that fewer people from multicultural communities take part in screening compared to other Australians. This free event will include a panel of speakers with lived cancer experience or health professionals who work in the medical fields that cancer patients access.

There will be a Q&A at the end of the speeches where you get to ask your questions in an open and safe environment.

Filo Pride from Marrickville will be providing free catering - get in early so you don't miss out on the locally made traditional Filipino food!
