Managing a dry season with Fiona Baker from Ag Vic
Event description
We are very pleased to have Fiona Baker from Ag Vic joining us to discuss different options we can consider leading into winter as this dry autumn continues. These include; calculating livestock feed requirements, early weaning, sowing a winter crop, purchasing feed, selling some stock, applying fertiliser, using a stock containment area etc.
Fiona is a Beef Extension Officer with Ag Vic and has extensive experience in feed management, buying and selling fodder, pasture assessment and much more.
There will be plenty of time for questions.
Everyone is welcome to attend, it's a great idea to reach out to a neighbour and invite them along.
Afternoon tea is provided.
The South Gippsland Landcare Network is supported by the Australian Government through
funding from the Climate-Smart Agriculture Program under the Natural Heritage Trust.
