REGSITRATION & ARRIVAL
Everyone attending the event must be registered via Humanitix. This can be completed on the day if necessary, however pre-registration is recommended!
Once you arrive at the event, please head to a volunteer or surfer registration tent to check in. Even if you have registered, we still need to check you off on the day and this is compulsory for each event.
WORKING WITH CHILDREND'S CHECKS
Working with Children Checks are strongly encouraged for all volunteers over 18 years old, more information is available here.
Please email secretary-perth@disabledsurfers.org to pick up a pre-filled application form. Working with Children Check applications cost ~$11for volunteers. If you already have a valid WA Working with Children Check, please email a photo/scan of your card through to secretary-perth@disabledsurfers.org
WHAT TO BRING/WEAR
All surfers and volunteers are provided with coloured swim rashies, however we would encourage wearing a pair of bathers or activewear-style clothing you don't mind getting wet when in the water (if you plan on getting in!). We would also recommend a change of clothes, reusable water bottle, beach-appropriate footwear, a hat and sunscreen.
Please check the weather prior to attending, and bring appropriate warmer clothes if required when you get in and out of the water.

VOLUNTEER INFORMATION
Not all volunteers are required from 6:30! This arrival time is for those who wish to assist setting up equipment for the day. We have bacon & egg rolls on the BBQ as a reward! All other volunteers are encouraged to arrive by 8:30am, to allow time to register and get settled before the event. Keep in mind that parking is limited, so please ensure you arrive with plenty of time to find a car park and walk to the grassed area to register.
If you have a wetsuit, please bring it along with you as it can get a bit cold in the water for extended periods of time. It's not necessary to buy one if you don't already have one though, and please check the weather prior.
We have land and sea roles available - if you would like stay dry for the entire event, please check with someone at the registration tent or BBQ tent for options on the day.
Once you've checked-in on the, please look out for our red-shirt team leaders and head down the beach for the safety briefing.
