About Dubai Futures Forum:
The Dubai Future Forum is an annual event hosted by the Dubai Future Foundation at the iconic Museum of the Future that brings together futurists, foresight practitioners, thought leaders, and experts from academia and various industries as well as government to anticipate challenges, imagine opportunities, share foresight, and shape the future.
Victoria and Alice participated on a panel on “Network Weaving: How the practice of linking past, present & future can lead to systemic change”. The team were also involved in a range of workshops, sessions and interviews covering futures tools, leadership, climate and technology.

About The Speakers
Victoria Mulligan is a builder of things - teams, strategies, services and futures - and uses strategic foresight and participatory futures tools to create more resilient and adaptive strategies, and purposeful cultures.
She is the co-founder of the Speculative Futures Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland chapter of Design Futures Initiative, and has recently been working on a project to map the network of Futures practitioners in Aotearoa New Zealand; Aotearoa Futures Network Map.
Victoria trained as a psychologist and worked in government and NGOs around the world before joining the private sector. A regular contributor to consumer and academic publications, Victoria is a thought leader at the intersection of design, innovation, business and social good. She lives in Grey Lynn, Auckland with her husband and four young children.
Alice Dimond (Kāi Tahu) is a social innovator designing solutions for a more equitable future for Māori.
Alice works at Tokona te Raki – Māori Future Makers, leading projects to find solutions to complex social challenges, such as racism, inequity, mana motuhake and Te Tiriti o Waitangi partnership.
Recently Alice has been involved in a project to design Te Korekoreka, a Māori kawa or process for creating better futures. Te Korekoreka offers a way to reconnect with mātauranga Māori and indigenous knowledge to help design systems that work for everyone.
Dr Cheryl Doig is a leadership futurist, weaver and connector, often known as the #futuresaunty. Cheryl has a passion for growing futures literacy and foresight through her company, Think Beyond. She is the founder of the Ōtautahi Futures Collective, Aotearoa Futures and Oceania Futures.
In 2017 Cheryl was a finalist in the NZ Westpac Women of Influence Awards, in the Innovation and Science category. She is an Adjunct Senior Fellow at the University of Canterbury, a professional member of the Association for Professional Futurists and a reviewer for the Journal of Future Studies.
Cheryl has over 30 year’s business and governance experience in education, social impact and health. She is founding trustee of Ako Ōtautahi Learning City Christchurch, a trust focused on growing a local learning ecosystem with a focus on equity, access and innovation.
