The Dubbo Aboriginal Justice Conference, co-led by Legal Aid NSW and the Aboriginal Services Unit (ASU) within Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ), is an opportunity to enhance your connections and expand your practice working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients in the region, while building stronger partnerships between government organisations, community and legal service providers.
This one day community Conference will bring together lawyers, community services, Aboriginal Community Controlled Organisations (ACCOs) and court users in Western NSW, and highlight practices designed to support Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with ongoing court proceedings.

Deepen your cultural competency: gain practical insights into culturally safe and appropriate practices for working with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
Support systemic change: learn how your work can contribute to achieving Closing the Gap Target 10 and 11 to reduce the overrepresentation of Aboriginal people in custody.

Expand your practice: discover new ways to broaden your practice and better engage with Aboriginal communities through tailored strategies and community partnerships.
