Description

Come get merry and bright! Runner Duck's Christmas wine tastings will take place on most Thursday evenings and Saturday afternoons throughout December in the run-up to Christmas, plus some extra dates during Christmas week. We'll be serving up seven wines to get you feeling all festive.

Runner Duck's wine tastings are laid back, informal, and dead good fun. We welcome all calibre of wine lovers, even if you think you know nothing about wine.

Doors open at 6pm. The event starts once everyone has arrived, or at 6:30pm, whichever comes first. The event is expected to run until 8:30pm.

If you have a wine tasting voucher you'd like to use to attend this event, please contact the venue directly.

This is a ticketed event with a limited capacity. A ticket must be purchased to attend.

For obvious reasons, this is an 18+ event. Runner Duck operates a Challenge 25 policy. You may be asked to provide ID on entry to the event if you are lucky enough to look under 25.

On occasion, we may take photos and film short clips of the tasting (without audio) to use for marketing purposes across our social media and website. By purchasing a ticket, you consent to being photographed and filmed whilst in the premises.

REFUNDS AND CANCELLATIONS

Please read the following before booking your ticket.

Over 7 days before the event - Full refund (excluding Humanitix booking fees)

Less than 7 days before the event starts - Please contact us directly. No refunds, but you can transfer your tickets to a different tasting or receive credit to spend in Runner Duck.

Less than 48 hours before the event starts - You are welcome to find someone else to take your place at the tasting, but we do not offer refunds, ticket transfers, or credit by this point.

FAQs

  • Can I attend this event without participating in the tasting?

We would advise skipping this event if you are not interested in participating in the tasting. We do not offer alternative drinks for attendees who do not like wine. If you are sure you want to attend this event but not participate, you still need to purchase a ticket.

  • Do you serve food?

We have a small deli serving cheese and charcuterie boards and other nibbles, which is open throughout the tasting (excluding hot food like baked camembert). We strongly advise pre-ordering food if you know you are going to want to eat either during or after the event. We can prepare food to order while running the tasting, but the wait time will be significantly longer than if it is pre-ordered.

All our food can be found in our Not Wine Menu. You can send your pre-order or any questions to contact@runnerducklancaster.co.uk

Whilst you are welcome to eat during the tasting, please be aware that the food will change the way the wine tastes (sometimes for the better, sometimes for the worse). If you would prefer to experience the wine without the influence of other flavours, we recommend waiting until after the tasting has finished to eat with us.

  • Are your tastings suitable for vegetarians/vegans?

The majority of wines on our tastings will be suitable for vegetarians/vegans, however, there will on occasion be some that are not. When this happens, we always make guests aware ahead of time, and offer a vegan alternative.

  • Is there a seating plan?

Yes. Our tastings often sell out and we use all available seats to fit everyone in comfortably. If you have booked your tickets separately from others in your group, you need to let us know so we can ensure you end up sitting with your party. You may be sharing your table with another group.

  • Can I bring my dog?

Yes. Well behaved dogs are welcome at our tastings.

  • I've got a wine tasting voucher, what do I do?

Find the tasting you wish to attend, then email contact@runnerducklancaster.co.uk and let us know. Include the long code on your voucher, and we'll get you booked on. If the value of your voucher is less than the cost of the tickets, you will be required to settle the outstanding amount.
