These native grasses are an extremely important understory plant that provides food for gopher tortoises and many species of birds. All volunteers will receive a free lunch. Come for the planting and stay for the food and old Florida views. Program suitable for all ages. Volunteers 16 and younger must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Volunteers should dress to be outdoors in full sun - bring sunscreen and plenty of water.
