John Viscardi and Lady Alma celebrate the release of The Duke of December at the Fallser Club, an afternoon of timeless Christmas classics, sung with style. Philly soul house vocalist Lady Alma shares the bill, and the two team up for the album’s swinging duet, Winter Wonderland. It’s the Christmas you remember, live.

John Viscardi is a Philadelphia singer bringing back the golden age of the Italian-American crooner. Trained as an opera singer, he has sung at Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center and Tokyo Opera City, and with the Philadelphia Orchestra in Marian Anderson Hall. Back home, you’ll find him under the lights at Midnight & The Wicked and at clubs across the city.

Recorded with the Philly Pops and released November 13 on Heartbridge Records, The Duke of December blends big band swing with full orchestra on White Christmas, Winter Wonderland, O Holy Night and Ave Maria. At its heart is The Gift of Love, written half a century ago by John’s high school choral director and recorded here for the first time. Offstage, John co-founded ArtSmart, which has provided more than 60,000 free music lessons to students in under-resourced communities.

By Car or By Train

The East Falls Train Station is a short walk from the Fallser Club. Parking in East Falls is no problem! Ample free on-street parking is available near the East Falls train station driveway at 3610 Midvale Ave, and a paid municipal lot is three blocks away at 4100 Ridge Ave.  Midvale Ave and Ridge Ave are both well-lit!
