Travel instructions

Carriageworks is easily accessible by train. Walk eight minutes from Redfern Station, ten minutes from Macdonaldtown Station or 15 minutes from Newtown Station. Bus routes 422, 423, 426, 428, 370, 352 stop on City Road at Sydney University, a five minute walk from Carriageworks. There are bike lanes on nearby streets and bike racks on Wilson Street at the the top of the stairs, near the main entrance. Limited on-site parking is available at the end of Carriageworks Way. Enter via 229 Wilson Street. Additional parking may be available at South Eveleigh, 2 Central Avenue, a 15-minute walk to Carriageworks via the Redfern footbridge and Little Eveleigh Street.

Entry instructions

Enter via the large door accessible via Wilson Street.

Toilet location

Once you enter the main Carriageworks doors, you will see a sign to your right that says restrooms with an arrow, indicating to turn left down a corridor for all gender toilets. Once you reach the end of the corridor, you will see the toilets to your right. There is one toilet with open urinals and one toilet with cubicles, and two disabled toilets.

Accessible parking

The Carriageworks car park includes three mobility parking spaces. Enter via 229 Wilson Street. The closest train station with wheelchair access is Redfern Station which recently underwent upgrades to improve accessibility, however Platforms 11 and 12 (Eastern Suburbs Railway and Illawarra Line) are only accessible via stairs or escalator.

Facilities and services

Service animals are welcome throughout the precinct. Seating is available throughout the Carriageworks Public Space. Carriageworks does not have a hearing loop.

Companion cards

We will be issuing complimentary tickets for anyone that supports a ticket holder with a disability or frailty. If you have a valid Companion Card please email us at admin@performancespoce.com.au to arrange a second ticket for your support person.

Low-Sensory Space

A low-sensory space will be available throughout Liveworks for any patrons seeking a quiet, calm environment to rest, regulate or reset.
