Come and learn the latest, best practice methods for operating a biochar kiln, and enjoy brunch while you're at it!

Using best practice, Tim Charlton (Australian Biochar Foundation and Aqua Firma Services) will demostrate use of a compact biochar kiln to transform woody weeds into stable carbon (biochar) for incorporation into the soil for revegetation, compost, paddock, garden.

Please arrive by 8.45am for a 9am start. The event runs until 11am.

Brunch is provided. Please supply any special dietary needs in the booking form. Please bring a camping chair if you have one.

The location will be disclosed the day before the event. It is in Wallarobba, near Dungog. There will be Landcare banners and flags up outside of the venue.

Please register by 4pm, Friday 30th October for catering purposes.

The workshop is hosted by Hunter Region Landcare Network as part of our Innovations and Partnerships program and is free to HRLN Individual and Group members or $15 for a ticket.
