This year DVAC is celebrating thirty years as part of the community in Ipswich, Toowoomba and surrounds. Join us to commemorate this milestone and raise funds to support victims fleeing domestic violence to safety.
We're taking over the newly renovated Hotel Commonwealth in the heart of Nicholas Street Precinct, Ipswich. Join us for a night of music, raffles, auctions, food, drink and celebration.
Tickets are strictly limited.
Each ticket includes bubbles on arrival, canapés, drinks and entertainment throughout the night.

- What's the Dress Code?
The dress code is cocktail attire.
Wear your best “let’s celebrate” look that reflects you! We want everyone to feel welcome and gorgeous. This can range from ball gowns or formal suits to your favourite dancing shoes.
- How can I get to the venue?
The Hotel Commonwealth is located in the heart of the Nicholas Street Precinct, Ipswich. It is easy to access whether you’re arriving by car or public transport.
Free parking is available behind the venue, at Nicholas Street Car Park. Nearby street parking is also available, check Ipswich City Council parking signage on arrival.
Public transport options:
Ipswich Train Station is the closest stop, approximately 5–7 minutes’ walk to the Nicholas Street Precinct.
Regular services run on the Ipswich/Rosewood line, connecting from Brisbane, Springfield, and surrounding suburbs.
Multiple bus routes service the Ipswich CBD, with stops along Brisbane Street, Bell Street, and Nicholas Street.
The Ipswich Bus Station (Bell Street Interchange) is a short walk from the venue.
Uber, DiDi, and local taxi services operate throughout Ipswich. The best drop-off point is Nicholas Street, near the precinct entrance.
- What is the program for the evening?
Doors open at 6pm. Our MC will kick off formalities at 6:45pm. There'll be plenty of time to enjoy the entertainment and activities throughout the evening. The function will formally close at 10pm but the venue will stay open until closing time at midnight.
- Do I need cash?
Your ticket to the event includes a selection of drinks and food for the evening.
We'll be using Square for purchases and donations for fundraising purposes on the night so bring your digital wallet and cards, you can leave your money clip and coin purse at home.
