Event description

To mark the introduction of WA’s Voluntary Assisted Dying Bill and support the upcoming campaign, please join us for a screening of Broken Hearted: Life, Love and Death in WA, a film by Juliet Lamont and Josh Raymond.

Produced by Go Gentle Australia, Broken Hearted tells the stories of Western Australians whose lives have been irrevocably scarred by needless suffering at the end of life.

Doors open at 6pm to allow time to purchase drinks and cheese platters with background music provided by Four on Six. There will be an opportunity to meet Dr David Grube from 6pm in the foyer. Dr Grube is an experienced and highly regarded senior doctor from Oregon where voluntary assisted dying laws have operated successfully for the past 22 years.

The evening will start at 6.30pm sharp with a welcome by DWDWA President, Steve Walker followed by the screening of Broken Hearted: Life, Love and Death in WA.

There will be a 15 minute interval followed by music by Four on Six with Gillian Catlow on violin and Charly Hoernemann on guitar.
