DYSREGULATED BY JORDAN NEAL OPENING THURSDAY 29 MAY!

Dysregulated is a durational artwork in which Jordan Neal collected her menstrual blood over 12 cycles in 2024. Preserved in resin, the collection of 28 discs are a documentation of the quality and quantity of blood the artist shed in one year. These intimate traces challenge viewers to confront their discomfort and reexamine the narratives surrounding menstruation and the body.

This work lives in the intersection of vulnerability, rebellion, and ritual. It honors the body’s natural rhythms while interrogating the systems that render them taboo. By making menstrual blood visible, tactile, and enduring, the artist opens a space for viewers to reflect on their own relationship to bodily autonomy, shame, and the politics of gendered experience.
