echo & bounce presents: Sister Zo (nyc)
Event description
hey all, with the weather getting hotter and wetter, we thought it was time to set up an event to match.Â
presenting sister zo, the one-woman subwoofer destruction squad coming to us from new york. having released on iconic labels from 3024 to nervous (as well as co-heading UN/TUCK, a collective designed to uplift trans and queer artists), sister zo has doled out a wealth of warped, percussive cuts anchored by immense low end. a synthesis of her inspirations, both her music and dj sets glide through a vast range of tempos, genres, and styles - referencing dubstep, garage, techno, and beyond, but not restricted by them.
on support are local loves: Karishma, Eyeeam & Neesha Alexander playing music designed to make you sweat (for proper body temperature regulation). this one’s out in the courtyard from early to late, so make sure to come early, stay hydrated and appreciate the sun and people around you.

this event takes place on the unceded sovereign lands of the Turrbal & Yuggera peoples. they were the first storytellers, dancers & musicians here, and their rich and ongoing connection to these lands and waters are sacred. to honour them, we must mark new heights of radical care, collectivism and disruption
