E3 Swimming Pool Pumps – MEPS Stakeholder Meeting
Event description
As a result of industry feedback, SPASA has actively listened to its members and has been working closely with the Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment, and Water (DCCEEW) to address concerns regarding the Star Rating Index (SRI) calculation for swimming pool pumps.
Consultation Paper
Through multiple meetings, SPASA has collaborated with DCCEEW to resolve the ambiguity in the current GEMS Determination 2021, which has led to inconsistent energy efficiency ratings for certain pool pumps.
In response, DCCEEW has released a Consultation Paper which outlines options for making star ratings better reflect actual performance.
